Client Samsung Everland
Enormously successful as one of the world’s busiest theme parks, the 25-year-old Everland property in Korea needed to expand and redevelop. In 2002, FORREC was engaged to assess the park and set a path for future growth. It turns out we were so aligned with the client’s goal to set a new standard of excellence that a long-term relationship began.
Aesop’s Village is a 14,000 square metre park-within-a-park that opened in 2005. Our job was to turn steep site challenges into a storybook experience based on the well-known fables of Aesop, a figure some consider to be the original storyteller. And so continues a successful decade-long relationship between FORREC and Samsung Everland that has included the master plan for the site’s European Village, design for Asia’s largest wooden roller coaster T Express, Everland’s water park expansion and its next master plan expansion.
