Client Samsung Everland
Samsung Everland had been working with FORREC on a number of projects since 2002 so when it came time to expand their existing water park, they turned to us for what they called big idea thinking. They wanted more than a few added rides – they wanted to use existing technology to create innovative and unique water park attractions and one-of-a-kind experiences.
Working with the hillside topography of the site, FORREC designers devised a wildly convoluted continuous water ride circuit where slides not only go down, they go up and sideways too. Even the slide queues are part of the circuit, allowing guests to stay afloat on their tubes the whole time. A theme based on the Caribbean’s early history of sugar plantations and rum distilleries inspired iconic elements like a windmill and water wheel.
