An award-winning landscape architect with 22 years’ experience, Scott heads up the landscape architecture studio at FORREC with passion and vision. He is guided by the philosophy that nature truly does nurture the human psyche.
Scott joined FORREC in 2016, having spent 12 years running his own landscape architecture practice, Scott Torrance Landscape Architect. Scott now leads our company’s landscape architecture work for our global and Canadian-based clients. He thrives on brainstorming sessions that take the team well outside the box in their search for creative solutions that work. A certified Green Roof Professional and recognized expert in the field, Scott led a distinguished team to author the City of Toronto Guidelines for Biodiverse Green Roofs. His design work has been honoured by numerous awards. He developed and taught the first ever course on Urban Parks and Open Space for the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Ryerson University and has given his time to numerous advisory committees.
