Due to its unique beauty, Ha Long Bay has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. To create a site-sensitive destination development, Forrec devised a comprehensive master plan, based on local mythology, that included an archipelago of reclaimed land connecting the spectacular natural islands and rock formations. The mixed-use programme of marinas, resorts, commercial-retail, cultural and residential areas helped make the waterfront accessible to the existing city for both tourists and the resident population.
